Young Slovak brand Biatec deepens its collaboration with the Prague watchmaking atelier Chronoshop. The atelier has been offering Biatec watches to its customers since the brand’s inception in 2016, and now introduces a special edition.
This limited series pays homage to Chronoshop’s new premises, which opened in the middle of last year after a devastating burglary at their original store nearly caused existential problems for this family business with a tradition dating back to 2007.
The new Biatec Majestic Chronoshop 09 comes in a limited edition of just 9 individually numbered pieces. This number symbolically references the building number on Prague’s Široká Street, where the boutique is located on the first floor.

The embossed minimalist dial, free of any logo or inscriptions, features a colour reminiscent of the façade of the historic building, which was commissioned by prominent Czech painter Václav Eduard Haspekl back in 1908.
Thanks to its unique guilloche structure, the dial changes its shade from salmon to apricot when light falls on it – similar to the building’s façade itself. The dial with its elegant trio of basic hands is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The watch features a stainless-steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter with a height of just 11.15 mm.
The surface is adorned with a ceramic protective layer that significantly increases scratch resistance. The sides of the case showcase precise brushing, harmoniously complemented by polished details and bezel.

At the heart of the watch beats the Swiss 4Hz caliber Sellita SW200-1 TOP with decorative surface finishing and characteristic blued screws.
The transparent caseback with a sapphire crystal, secured by four screws, offers a view of the personalized gold rotor whose colour corresponds to the entrance doors of the building on Široká Street.

Ground floor of this prestigious address houses boutiques of renowned brands such as Hublot, Messika, Rado, and Loee. The coordinates of Chronoshop and the individual number of each watch are elegantly marked on the movement plate.
The Biatec Majestic Chronoshop 09 comes on a high-quality steel bracelet with a robust folding clasp equipped with a practical extension. The price of this exclusive limited edition has been set at 44,009 CZK.
